Originally established in 1926 as the Blue Jay Lodge, this beautiful resort sits on 3.4 acres of U.S Forest Service permitted property within the gorgeous Cleveland National Forest and is a perfect year-round destination.
 
Derek Marso is the third-generation owner of Valley Farm Markets, in business and supporting the community since 1956.  Derek and his team at Valley Farm have taken the opportunity to leverage over 65 years of experience to revitalize The Outpost to offer hearty food, fresh Valley Farm Market Beef Jerky, craft beer, and cocktails that will make you feel at home from the moment you step inside.
 
The Outpost is a place where locals and visitors gather to enjoy good food and build community. Bring the family to have hot chocolate or Shirley Temples on our dog-friendly patio.
 
Stay tuned as we are in the process of renovating the 5 beautiful log cabins on site and look forward to offering nightly cabin rentals out as soon as renovations are complete.
