Trail Running
With great weather year-round, trail running is a great way to get some exercise in the great outdoors in San Diego. Mount Laguna is no exception as there are some incredible running trails right in our backyard here at The Outpost.

Pacific Crest Trail
The Pacific Crest Trail stretches 2,653 miles from its southern terminus at the US-Mexico border to its northern terminus on the Canada-US border in British Columbia. Mount Laguna is often one of the first stops for many of the northbound PCT thru-hikers. The PCT is rich in history and lore and The Outpost is located just minutes from the famed trail. State Parks
The Outpost is positioned right in between two of San Diego’s best state parks. To the west, you will find Cuyamaca Rancho State Park which features hundreds of miles of hiking trails, an old abandoned mine, and beautiful Lake Cuyamaca. To the east, you will find Anza-Borrego Desert State Park which boasts features such as off-road vehicle trails, beautiful slot canyons, and colorful badlands to go along with the unique desert flora and fauna of Southern California.
